Low Melt Point Nonwovens - Softness & Hand:

Microcreping polypropylene nonwovens historically resulted in a harsh, stiffened web because frictional heat melts PP fibers.  We now have two methods to Microcrepe PP fabrics without generating excessive heat giving polypropylene and other low melting point materials, softness, thickness, stretch, drape and hand without melting fibers.




The Micrex Process can actually make your PP or PE based non woven more textile like. The photomicrographs below illustrate how the substrate is impacted by Microcreping:
